Another Blonde Blogger
Hey gorgeous,
It only seems fitting that for my first post that I introduce myself and let you know what this space is all about.
I am a Dietitian based in little old New Zealand, who has a passion for working with and for women. I have spent the last 3 years working at a hospital (with kids and women) with a reliable income and lots of certainty. I have also been quietly watering my business on the side, watching it grow in small and steady ways but my risk adverse nature and self-doubt have always held me back from taking “the leap” into self-employment.
At the end of 2017 I came to a fork in the road if you will, and realised that my current job was not where I wanted to be, and I wasn’t living my best life. I was working with sick people, most of who didn’t want to know about a Dietitian but were told they needed one because of their health state and working alongside other health professionals who didn’t think that Dietitian’s should be in the media making noise (but would frown at the nutrition “cow boys” making a name for themselves).
I ran away to America, ran a lot, drank multiple cups of terrible coffee, and grew a pair.
This space is the result.
I come to this moment with a really expensive degree but more importantly REAL experience working with REAL women in illness and in health, and a passion to make every women understand her body better so that she can live her life to the greatest potential.
I want women who live with infertility, Endometriosis, bladder issues, pelvic pain (and many other health woes) and a lack of self-love to be represented online, so they can have a space to support each other and to raise awareness. I want to build a community.
I want millennials to know that fertility isn’t just about babies (what!?) and that the stress we put on ourselves is affecting our health in more ways than you can imagine. I want to make your hormones sing again, your fertility flourish and your energy levels sky rocket.
This space is for you gorgeous.
I am so excited to watch my passion come into fruition, and if one women reads this I will be one happy Dietitian.
